14 Sept 2008    Vision Sunday    Duncan Hanton    Luke 19:10

God's desire for Northwest is for it to grow bigger through people being saved. we need to

plan everything around mission. What are the key areas that need to be addressed for us to

grow to 200 people?

07 Sept 2008    God's passionate love for you!   Norman Moss     &    Healing Testimonies - Margaret Moss

God's love for us is far greater than we realise! John 17 reveals that God loves us (his adopted

children) as much as he loves his only eternal Son, Jesus! Have you grasped that if you were

the last person on earth that Jesus would have died for you?

31 Aug 2008     Hope 08 Gospel Preach      Mark Tebb

Having had an amazing week of outreach on the local estate, the week finished with a great

Church service where the gospel was preached and two people responded in giving their lives

                           to Jesus!

10 Aug 2008     The Lord is my Rock, Deliverer & Fighter!      Psalm 18         Mark Tebb

David discovered God as his Rock whom he could hide in as well as the God who delivers us

from evil! We have a responsibility to hide in him and to fight in God's strength!

27 July 2008    The Narrow Gate & the Hard Path         Matthew 7: 13-15         Mark Tebb

The last in the series on the Sermon on the Mount having preached through this

subject for nearly a year! Though the world travels along and 'easy' path believing and acting as

they wish, we however are in a much better Kingdom, but the gate is narrow to get in and the

journey will be difficult as we learn to conform to Jesus the King.

13 July 2008     Our Purpose in life is to bring the Kingdom of God!         Mark Tebb

What is God's will for your life? What is your purpose here on the earth? Jesus has comissioned

us to bring his kingdom to the world and make disciples of all nations! Everything we do

including our jobs are to serve this purpose! Do your priorities need to change?

06 July 2008    Ask and you will Recieve      Matthew 7: 7-11      Duncan Hanton

We should have confidence in asking our heavenly Father for good things! He promises to bless

and give to us especially when we seek him.

29 June 2008    Social Action to the Community          Simon Allen

Visitng speaker, Simon Allen has been involved in Christian social action for a number of years

and lays out for us God's heart and commission to defend the poor and reach out to the

                           community.

22 June 2008    Judging Others       Matthew 7: 1-6      Duncan Hanton

Today we resumed our series in the Sermon on the Mount and started the final chapter. Is it

right to judge other people? Jesus doesn't prohibit judging others, but again challenges our

hearts and motives in judging others!

08 June 2008    Predestination Part 3      Acts 9: 1-19      Mark Tebb     (First Half)       (Second half)

In this final week we looked at how Saul of Tarsus's conversion experience had predestination

written all over it! Saul hears the 'effectual call' as Jesus calls his name out! Prior to this, Saul's

free will was to clearly persecute christians, yet one encounter with Jesus changed everything!

01 June 2008    Predestination Part 2     Romans 8: 28-30      Duncan Hanton

This week we looked at the power of God's 'call' on our lives to bring us to conversion to Christ.

Without God's life giving call we are 'spiritually dead' and unable to respond or believe in Christ.

25 May 2008     Predestination Part 1     1Peter 1:1-2       Matthew Hosier

This is the beginning of a three part series studying the subject of 'predestination'. Did I choose

God or did God choose me? Predestination is biblical, it glorifies God, it teaches us about the

love of God, it encourages us to live differently, and it gives us assurance that we are saved!

18 May 2008     Do not worry!     Matthew 6: 25-34     Duncan Hanton

Why should we worry when our heavenly Father is with us and He will meet our needs! Instead

of worrying we are encouraged to seek first God's kingdom knowing all our needs will be met as

                           we focus on God.

11 May 2008     The River of God     Ezekiel 47: 1-12     Dave Fellingham

Ezekiel's prophecy of a river flowing and touching the world around it is a glorious picture of

how God wants to flow through his church and bless the whole world around us! We need Spirit

filled Churches that are in the world but not of it!

04 May 2008     The Lord's Prayer (part 2) & Fasting      Matthew 6: 9-18     Mark Tebb

Jesus taught us to pray for two main things, firstly, 'the Fame of God's name' with his kingdom

expanding throughout the world! Secondly, we are to pray for our daily needs (the practical

                           neccesities, forgiveness and protection).

27 April 2008     Storing up Treasures in Heaven     Matthew 6: 19-24     Duncan Hanton

(Jesus had a lot to say about money, and particularly the dangers of storing up treasures on

earth. The wonderful news of the Kingdom is that we can generously give money away and

store up treasures in heaven that will last for eternity!)

06 April 2008     Giving to the Needy     Matthew 6: 1-4     Mark Tebb

(Jesus expects that 'giving' to those in need will be part of our lifestyle. In this sermon we look

at six ways in which Jesus gave to those in need, and how he warns us to check our motives

                            when we give!)

30 Mar 2008      Love your Enemies     Matthew 5:43-48      Duncan Hanton

(Jesus loved his enemies, even those who put him on the cross! He commands us to follow him

in this way and to love and forgive our enemies!)

23 Mar 2008      Easter Service: 1Corinthians 15: 1-11     Duncan Hanton

(There are many important things in life, but what is the most important thing we really need to

pay attention to? Paul tells us that it is Christ who died, who was buried and who was raised to

                           new life!)

02 Mar 2008      Integrity & Honesty   Matthew 5:33-37   Jerry Turner

(Jesus challenges us to live honest and upright lives in the midst of a dishonest world and

culture. Choosing to be truthful may be costly but the righteous will never be shaken!)

24 Feb 2008      BAPTISMS SERVICE:   Luke 15: 1-7  The Lost Sheep     Duncan Hanton

(We had a wonderful baptisms service this morning with some great testimonies of how Jesus

has changed people's lives. It was very fitting to hear then about how Jesus is the one who

goes looking for those of us who have strayed away like lost sheep!)

17 Feb 2008      Marriage & Divorce    Matthew 5: 31-32 (& Hosea 2:14-20)     Mark Tebb

(God is a faithful 'husband' who has entered into an everlasting marriage covenant with his

Church! God intends our own marriages to be based on the same qualities of faithfulness,

                           steadfast love and promise!)

10 Feb 2008      Dealing with Lust    Matthew 5: 27-30    Duncan Hanton

(The religion and idol of sex has been around right back to ancient times. Jesus calls us to

radically cut ourselves off from this idol and to deal with the temptation to lust.)

03 Feb 2008      Dealing with Anger    Matthew 5: 21-28    Duncan Hanton

(The sermon on the mount continues with the practical outworking of what it means to be truely

righteous. This week we look at anger and dealing with it from within our hearts.)

27 Jan 2008      Jesus The Fulfillment of the Law   Matthew 5:17-21    Mark Tebb

(The series of teaching on the 'sermon on the mount' resumed again today. Jesus Christ is the

fulfillment of the whole Jewish Law and all that the Prophets said! Jesus challenges us to live

with true righteousness - loving God from our hearts and loving our neighbour!)

20 Jan 2008       Israel & Sonship    Stuart Cohen

(Guest speaker Stuart Cohen from the 'Church's ministry among Jewish people' gives a

theological overview of Israel, their identity as God's firstborne son and God's promise of

                             salvation for them.)
